| I have a wife, a child, a job and no time for this blog. It doesn't mean I have no thoughts that I would like to share, but rather, no time nor energy to share them. So with that, I offer my final thought on Xanga.
This thought and story start about a week ago. Last Thursday at work, my stomach decided to operate a mutiny for the better part of the day. I wasn't too keen on this. Strangely, right as I got home, things started feeling a little better. After we brought some dinner to some friends who just had a beautiful boy, I not only felt better, but I was HUNGRY. That led to the not as wise decision of, "Let's stop by Sonic. I'll just do chicken fingers. And fries. With 2 onion rings with the meal." Absolute money on any other day, horrible choice on a post-riotous intestinal battle. With the intake of that meal, I didn't really use the restroom until Monday. Yeah, egad. (Just tell me at which point this is an overshare...oh, you can't stop me from writing, so on I go).
The weekend progresses with me just feeling off - a stomach that won't release, a throat starting to tickle, and a headache on the rise. We arrive at Sunday and I feel awful. Straight awful. The throat is now rioting too, grabbing the headache for an ally, and the stomach taking the route of the stalemate. I ended up getting some crackers and two pieces of bread Sunday. What a feast, eh?
We missed church (Emaline is sick during all of this too, just not as bad as Dad) because I couldn't really stand up. Monday came with no improvement. I even took a half day at work because I knew I needed to rest and get better. Tuesday arrives, still crap, but I think I can grin and bear it at work. Grin and bear I did, but I still felt horrible Tuesday night. Wednesday comes...maybe a bright side? NO! Throat, head, stomach all unchanging really. I have done all that I know how to do, so with this I go to...the doctor. Seriously, this isn't me. I NEVER go to the Dr. I am convinced that I can always wait it out and normally do. Today, not so much.
And what does the doc say? YOU ARE SICK. And contagious. Go home, get rest, take these meds, and you aren't allowed to go to work tomorrow. No church tonight, no work tomorrow. Please, let me tie in the other interesting tidbits that make this story more than an update.
Meggie and Emmy left today for Texas. They aren't back until Sunday. Lent started today, for which I gave up watching TV (bad and growing addiction, needed to stop anyway). There were some books I was going to read. I knew that I needed to use these days and spend time with God as I have almost neglected my first love. And I ordered some house slippers on eBay since my old ones ended up hurting me. What do these have to do with the above?
Slippers finally came today. No family at the house. No TV distraction. Can't go to work. Have to stay at home. I have my Bible, my books, idle time and lots of chores to do. I think that God wanted my attention. I think he wants to talk. We've got some catching up to do and, whether I liked the means or not, we've got time to start catching. I've always claimed God is a comedian. Today, I found it out on a personal level all over again. Thanks, God.

| Greetings to all three of you who still check this blog. It has been easy for me to not blog as my wife has had a huge, weekly (or bi-weekly if she feels kooky) update about her progress as a mother and her general thoughts. While I am trying to write this blog, there is a couple in this bookstore having it out about gas prices, off-shore drilling, CNG, arrogance, Hitler, Republicans...holy cow. As it continues to wind down, and gets quiet, he mutters..."Hitler..." and then they get into it. All over again. They just got shushed by the management. That was comedy all stirred by anger. Why is it that some of those subjects bring out the worst in people? These two don't know each other. They were brandishing names at one another that I would only call someone...no, actually, I wouldn't call anyone what they yelled at one another.
So - in the world of Andrew, I just got back from Mexico with Amor ministries. Go here to look into this rad group and what they are doing across the south. There were a whopping 5 of us that went to build this house/addition. I was thinking that we would get there and be paired with another group. I mean, five people can't build a house by themselves, right? I was both right and wrong. No, 5 can't...but with their intern, making it 6, and a willing family who wanted to help all the time (making it 7-8 at times), it is very doable. 6 people - 4 days - built an 11x22 house. It was so exciting. This family was crammed into their space and now will be able to breathe, have a little elbow room, and be able to have their espace (In the Land of Women...anyone? Anyone?).
Also, being down there made me appreciate the house we now have. I haven't put any pics up, but Meagan has, so check her blog to see our beautiful townhome. I love being in it and all of the potential it has. We just found out that our roomie Pat is taking off for a new place, so that means we will have a little more espace too. We are going to be moving a lot of things around, all centering around the use of that room.
This is a long blog that really didn't say much. I didn't cover the Dark Knight (loved it), monsoon season (loving it), disc golf (getting better, watch out), Sex God (will blow your mind if you think our culture has anything positive to say about marriage), the enjoyable Friday Night Art Walk we did last night (great artists, who also happen to be friends...too bad we can't afford their art) and all of the wonderful things that come from being back in Flag. Peace to my homies.

| I have been told so many times recently that I am now officially a grown up. Why would someone say that of me if we have ever met? I love Spider-Man and can talk of him endlessly. I have a school-girl crush on Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) and can also talk of him for a good deal. I am a young romantic with my wife. My favorite thing to do with free time is play a game (disc golf). So, again, why would anyone feign to think of me as grown up?
#1 - We have a house. We are closing on the townhome in a few weeks. If you want to look at it (as previously decorated by the old owner) it is here. We could not be more excited. If that link doesn't take you there, go to northernarizonamls.com and go to FIND PROPERTIES, then use the mls# 129231. To negate that previous comment, we could be a little more excited if the second reason wasn't there.
#2 - We are....keep on scrolling
Really....

Don't get tired yet...
Pregnant! Who liked that little game? Eh? EH? Due around the start of December. She is bearing through it, trying to fight first trimester woes as well as she is able. Here is the little tyke as of a few weeks ago. What a cute blurry blob. Sorry for those who had to find out this way, but time difference is a bear. Peace!
